Urine Drug Testing: Why is it useful? How to discuss with patients, When to perform?

Step 2: Set testing frequency based on risk assessment.

• If Low Risk test urine 2 times per year.
• If Medium Risk test urine 4 times per year.
• If High Risk test urine 6 times per year.
• With suspicion for aberrant or illicit drug use test urine anytime.
